This homestay is a 100 year old Colonial bungalow on one acre of land, only a km away from Ooty town.

The Bungalow
All the rooms have wooden flooring and panelling, Victorian furniture and bay windows overlooking the lawn. The bathrooms are large with modern fittings. All the rooms have have a TV with cable connection.

The garden surrounding the bungalow is large enough for families to enjoy some outdoor games or to also relax under the garden umbrellas. The garden has walnut, tomato, peach and passion fruit trees and two quaint waterfalls crafted from springs.

Local sightseeing, trekking, pick-up from nearest railway/ bus station or airport can be arranged on prior request. The bungalow is located barely a 10 min walk from the Ooty town centre.

The owners live on the premises on the upstairs portion of the bungalow. This homestay is ideal for families with children or for groups of friends.

Food
There is a fixed menu for breakfast and meals. Guests can order individual dishes from our South Indian menu which comprises of idli, dosa and ootappams and can also avail of continental breakfast like toast with eggs, butter and jam. Tariff for breakfast would range from Rs.25 to Rs. 40/- Lunch/dinner can be ordered from a set menu which would include rice, chappati, salad, dal, a vegetable and a chicken preparation. Tariff for individual meal items would range from Rs.10 to Rs.40/-

If you are travelling to Ooty by road, the nearest big city / town is Mysore. The road distance is approximately 140 Kms. which will cost you roughly Rs. 1600 by taxi.

It is a beautiful old heritage home and we absolutely loved the room, the garden and the people. It was a wonderful experience and will surely visit again.

Can spend a lot of time relaxing in the garden. The location and rooms are good. Food is a bit expensive.The menu is set and there is no choice. Lunch is not served, which inconveniences guests who want to spend the whole day at the homestay. Overall it was a good experience and ideal for families. I would definitely stay there again.

The looks of the bungalow itself is stunning. Huge white bungalow sitting in the plush green surroundings.Everything inside the bungalow is made of wood. Right from the staircase that runs up to the owners place to the beds and Wardrobes. We asked the caretakers to change the bed sheets and pillow covers which they did immediately. Bathrooms are huge. The Double beds were cozy and comfortable too. The food provision could have been better. There are places/restaurants around the bungalow within 1-2 kms that provide good food. So not much of an issue.
